Infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) or Gumboro is a disease affecting poultry health which increases mortality due to bursal atrophy in the broiler. Another cause of this disease is immunosuppression. Therefore, enhancing immunity is a good strategy to support the animals against this disease.

In this study, Turbo Tox was tested along with Gumboro vaccination to evaluate the immune-modulatory effect.

Novosol enhancing the performance parameters of broilers

Short and medium-chain fatty acids had been historically used in poultry production due to their effect on improving animal’s performance parameters. The mixture of tchese fatty acids with specific essential oils has been proven to work in synergy providing extra benefits such as growth promoter and antioxidant effects.

During this trial the effect of Novosol (Short and medium-chain fatty acids plus specific essential oils) was recorded after the addition of Novosol (XVET Germany) into the drinking water of broiler chicken for just 4 days, resulting in an improvement on the mortality rate as well as the body weight gain.

The present study indicates that administering XVET Germany’s Aromax resulted in a reduction of respiratory signs and improved the local and humoral immune response in broilers. Overall Aromax improved the overall strength of the immune system as well as increasing the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Administering Aromax as a spray (2ml/l) twice a week and in the drinking water (0.2 ml/l) everyday (Groups 3 and 4) results in a healthier respiratory system, higher body weight and weight gain, less stress on the liver, a stronger immune system and stronger vaccine response compared to vaccinating against Newcastle disease without giving Aromax (Control).

Zincotin is enhancing breeder performance

The effect of Zincotin, XVET Germany on broiler breeder performances was estimated in this study.

The experiment was done at a broiler breeder farm in North of Iran. 30.278 birds (Arbor Acres Plus) were evaluated in 8 houses of this farm from week 40 to 67 of the production period. The experimental farm consists of 3 houses as treatment group (Zincotin) and 5 houses as control. All houses had similar conditions and with the density (Birds in every square meter) of 6.04.

The number of hens in the treatment and control group were 10.932 and 17.368 respectively. This groups had 765 and 1213 roosters in treatment and control groups as well. Even though the sex ratio at week 26 (Before starting the experiment) was 8.2% the experiment started with the Female to male ratio (⚤) of 6% for both treatment and control group. Environmental situation, diseases, spiking and available healthy roosters in the farm were affecting the designed ⚤.
